The Fairy Blog Mother came about while I was trying to explain to my past business clients the benefits of blogging. I soon realised that this was a medium that most women (and even some men) had real problems with, especially when using it for business.
Then I listened to a video of some young American blogging expert spouting his stuff, and after 10 minutes even my brain had become totally frazzled. I thought: “How many of his audience really understood what he was going on about?” – then I fast-forwarded to the questions, and realised they were equally geeky!
So I decided to set up somewhere anybody could come to ask advice about blogging, whatever their level of experience and expertise, and I needed a friendly, approachable persona – hence the Fairy Blog Mother!
This blog aims to be a useful resource reference on how to set up and maintain a blog, using the WordPress format. Initially I started with WordPress.com, which anyone can set up for free and in minutes! My visual ‘how to’ pages show the step-by-step processes of creating and understanding a blog and how it works.
All this is useful to know if you want to venture further into a WordPress.org blog, the paid-for hosting version which has many more useful features for online marketing success. I am helping a friend set up her hosted blog, so you will be able to follow her progress using my visual instruction methods as it develops.
