How to adapt your blog to go for gold
One thing is obvious about all these athletes succeeding in the London Olympics, they are all striving towards a gold medal; the ultimate prize gained by complete and utter focus after many years of totally exhausting training.
Nothing comes easily to a winner (even Usain Bolt has had to train), and this is no exception when it comes to business or blogging. For many years this blog has been coasting along, achieving very little, but now that’s all going to change.
For the past few months I have been writing an extensive digital marketing plan for Fairy Blog Mother. I have been exploring new business opportunities, what objectives (measurable and time-bound goals) I can achieve, which resources I have available and after extensive analytic probing, necessary improvements that need to be put into place.
This is going to be a really uphill drive (a bit like the Tour de France) and there will be many peaks and troughs along the way. By understanding my potential customers’ characteristics I can segment them for more appropriate marketing messages. Working on my USP (unique selling point) will differentiate me from my competitors. My products will be repackaged to appeal to an ever widening audience. I will research into appropriate keywords to capture more web visitors and provide what they are interested in. And this blog needs to undergo a redevelopment to improve its online value proposition.
Fairy Blog Mother’s style of WordPress tuition will be climbing up into the gold position (as well as my other blog-related services). The knowledge I have amassed over the years will be prepared, cooked and beautifully presented on a plate for you. If you want to jump on the bandwagon to take advantage of my trials, now’s the time to act. Join up to my newsletter (look for the purple envelope) and become part of the Fairy Blog Mother exclusive club, where you will be the first to know about what is happening. Like my Facebook page to gain access to all the blogging information I am sharing. Follow me on Twitter to interact with me further. Send me an email if you have any questions about blogging or my new ventures starting in the autumn.
This blog started just after the Beijing Games, and I know I’m too late to win at our home Olympics, but certainly by Rio in 2016 the Fairy Blog Mother should be well on the way to reaching gold. It’s up to you to decide to join me on that ride!
